Lenovo unveils ThinkVision 28 Android-powered 4K display

Lenovo is kicking off another round of press releases today, announcing the Lenovo ThinkVision 28 4K smart display. As the name implies, the ThinkVision 28 is a 28-inch 4K display (3840×2160) running Android 4.4, allowing it to act as a ten point multi-touch display for a PC or an all-in-one Android device. The internals of the Lenovo ThinkVision 28 include an Nvidia Tegra processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, 2.1 megapixel camera, 2 5W speakers, microSD card slot, HDMI, USB 3.0 and DisplayPort.

The $1199 price tag of the Lenovo ThinkVision 28 is probably higher than most people are willing to pay, but it’s a comparable bargain when compared to theAcer TA272, which has a much lower resolution display. Will an Android-embedded 4K display entice you to upgrade your old PC monitor this year?
